Description
12/10/25 - This is a Colt Model 1911 that was originally issued to the US military in 1913 (an early serial number). It was later sent to Rock Island Arsenal and reworked, as evidenced by the RIA marking on the right side of the frame. At this time, the slide was swapped and the pistol was parkerized, among other changes. There is also an FK marking and a military flaming bomb. It has an arsenal-applied parkerized finish and is fitted with WW2-era reddish plastic grips. It comes with its original Arsenal shipping box (hand-numbered to the gun) and two replacement magazines. The gun shows very little actual finish loss, but there is some very light pin-pricking under the finish here and there and some areas of light spotty oxidation on the slide (mostly around the muzzle). The bore has great rifling with just some light frosting in the grooves.
