Description
2/17/26- For sale is an interesting conversion holster, with most of the parts of a wartime 1916 artillery holster made into a Weimar era police holster. The tip of the holster has been cut and shortened to fit a standard Luger. The long tool pouch has been removed and replaced by a magazine pouch, although the long row of stitch holes is still visible. The front and sides of the holster have been dyed police black but the back and inside still retain the classic artillery Luger brown. There is a square of removed stitching where the attachment strap for the stock was removed on the back. The inside of the top flap is marked "Franz Herrmann Erfurt 1916" and there is a "B-A IX" armory stamp. Just under the front flap on the front of the holster is the gun's serial number, 4047. The back of the holster is stamped with the gun's specific police number, "S.Li.426" indicating gun 426 in the Liegnitz police district. There is light wear to the exterior of the holster but no serious damage other than the stitch holes from the removed artillery Luger elements. All current stitching is tight and intact. The front strap and belt loops are intact and functional. Overall in excellent condition and a very interesting piece!
