Description
11/18/25- For sale is a 1944 dated British motorcycle dispatch rider helmet. The helmet uses the same familiar shell as the British paratrooper helmet but has a completely different liner. While motorcycle riders were rarely in combat, they of course still required head protection, maybe more than many of the combat troops themselves. The exterior of the helmet has very minor wear and only one or two small spots of paint loss. The bottom rim has some paint loss and exposure of bare metal. The liner is fully intact, with leather padding and chin strap. The lining folds down to cover the back of the neck and ears, useful when riding in bright sun or cold weather. The inside of the liner is marked "BMB 1944" and is a size seven. Overall in excellent condition.
