4/6/26- For sale are 20 rounds of Japanese 7.7mm ammo on stripper clips for the Type 89 aircraft machinegun. The Type 89 was one of a select few machineguns to fire ammo loaded on stripper clips and it was used on many Japanese aircraft throughout the war. The ammo comes on four clips of five rounds each. Some of the rounds have slightly flatter tips, which some research suggests could indicate explosive or armor piercing rounds. The rounds and clips are lightly corroded, with some more notable spots of corrosion in a few places. One loose round is headstamped 1943 but the rest of the rounds have not been inspected. Overall in good condition.
