Description

3/27/26 - This is an exceptionally rare, like-new, Grade AAA Engraved, Altamont "The American Patriot Blued" Kimber 1911, chambered in .45 ACP. Built on the 5" Kimber Stainless II platform, this striking firearm was part of a strict Limited Edition of only 300 units. This pistol is in nearly factory new condition, with no signs of wear or use. Mint bore and grips. It comes with the original matching numbered Kimber carrying case, gun lock, oil sample, Kimber and Altamont stickers, original hang tag, 10% off Kimber coupon code card, instruction manual, Kimber cleaning and oiling data sheet, NRA card, and one factory magazine. From Altamont's Website:

Arriving five years after the original stainless Patriot edition, this blued encore extends the elegant coverage to the top of the slide, slide stop, and safety. Notably, this specific firearm features the highly desirable "ALB" (Altamont Blued) serial number prefix, guaranteeing its provenance as one of the first 200 units produced in this historic run.

This masterpiece boasts Altamont’s highest standard of embellishment: Grade AAA Engraving (the pinnacle of their 3-tier factory system). As officially defined by Altamont, this prestigious grade signifies "Master Level Coverage," featuring "exquisite and complex detailing and coverage" that is "engraved at the ideal or maximum depth of spectacular deep relief engraving." Executed so flawlessly that it requires no magnification to appreciate, the deep relief on the blued slide features a powerful eagle soaring across a background of stripes.

Master engraver Merlin Enright, inspired by his father's profound love for bold American Style Engraving over lighter European scrollwork, poured countless hours of revision into this steel canvas. Trained under FEGA master Rex Pedersen and building on past high-profile exclusives like the 2012 TALO Colt 1911 Iwo Jima tribute, Merlin holds his work to the highest possible standard. The resulting firearm is not just a highly functional 1911, but an enduring testament to American boldness and creativity.

The design itself captures the courage and style of the American Revolution, directly inspired by John Hancock’s bold, flourishing signature on the Declaration of Independence where he famously declared, “I guess King George will be able to read that without his spectacles!” Thirteen full stars representing the original Colonies adorn each side of the slide housing, while fifty full stars representing the Fifty States are engraved across the slide and frame, beautifully complementing the custom star front-strap checkering. A custom-engraved black linen micarta grip featuring a waving American flag completes the piece, backed by Altamont's lifetime grip warranty.
