Beautiful Weatherby Nikko Model Olympian Over/Under shotgun

9/18/25 - This is a beautiful Weatherby Nikko Model Olympian 12 Gauge Over/Under shotgun, manufactured between 1977 and 1981 by Nikko Kodensha in Japan. Featuring 30-inch barrels with a ventilated rib, this shotgun is chambered for 2 3/4" shells and has fixed full over modified chokes. The barrels exhibit crisp factory markings, including “OLYMPIAN by Weatherby / SOUTHGATE, CALIF – MADE IN JAPAN” and "NIKKO PROOF STEEL." Elegantly engraved scrollwork adorns the receiver, lever, and forearm metal, adding to its refined appearance. The metal has retained virtually all of its deep blue finish. While there isn't much to note in the way of actual finish loss, there are scattered light handling marks and a few tiny spots of nearly imperceptible surface oxidation. Mechanically, the shotgun is excellent with tight lockup, properly functioning ejectors, and bright bores, free of any signs of erosion. The shotgun boasts checkered wood stocks with a rosewood-capped pistol grip, finger groove forend, fluted straight comb, and a Weatherby vented rubber recoil pad. A distinctive white diamond inlay embellishes the pistol grip cap. The wood displays minor handling marks here and there, with sharp checkering, no chips or cracks.
