Description
10/7/25 - This is a DWM commercial Luger that ended up in Finland and was turned into a Lotta Svärd prize pistol. The left grip panel has a silver plaque engraved “Lotta Svärd n:o 2 Kiertopalkinto Ampumisessa / Vandringspris i Skytte,” marking it as the 2nd place shooting prize. These prize Lugers are very scarce. This example comes with a presentation case, a box of ammo, and 3 total wood bottom magazines, two are numbered but mismatched and the third is unnumbered. The gun itself is all matching and has retained about 80% of its bluing, with areas of wear and spotty oxidation on the toggle, sideplate, the front of both side rails, on the right side of the frame and slide above the center of the right grip panel. Mild thinning of the finnish on the grip straps, more pronounced on the front strap. Straw parts are mostly faded, with mild patina on the safety lever. Grips are in great shape. Bore has strong rifling, but is heavily frosted.
