Description

03/26/26 - For sale is a Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor w/ the ramrod bayonet made in 1886. The metal has a well-aged finish with most of the rifle turning a darker grey with patina. The trapdoor is marked Model 1878, but the rifle itself is 1884. The wood shows handling scratches but no cracks or breaks. The left side of the wrist is stamped SWP 1891. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The muzzle area is frosting over, and there's some light fouling in the grooves.
