Description

6/19/25 - This is an excellent example of a Colt Modell 1911 that was originally issued to the US military during WWI (1918). It was later reworked at arsenal and converted to a 1911A1 configuration - most likely for re-issue in WW2. It has several WW2 characteristics, such as the parkerized finish, HS High Standard barrel, the extended mainspring housing, and the reddish plastic grips. It comes with a WWI-era two-tone magazine and the original shipping box from the Anniston Army Depot (the label is marked with the matching serial number to the gun). The gun shows very little wear and has a mint bore.
