Description

1/22/26 - This is a very nice example of a 1944 Dual Tone P.38 with a blued barrel and a phosphate finish on the slide and frame. All matching with the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. This one has retained about 90-92% of its original finish. The majority of the wear comes in the form of very minor thinning on the front strap, so the profile views are excellent. Very minor high edge / muzzle wear and a few small dots of discoloration on the slide (typical with these phosphate finishes). Fitted with period-correct reddish phenolic grips. Comes with an "Eagle 135"-proofed Mauser magazine. Factory-new bore. De-cocker is functional.
