6/13/25 - For sale is an Eli Whitney Navy revolver made during the Civil War. This example was converted to fire a .36 caliber rimfire cartridge. the revolver has lost the most of its original finish and likely buffed. The barrel is stamped "E Whitney N. Haven" but it is very thin. The grips show wear but are free of any cracks. There is a little bit of the corner missing on the right grip. The bore has a nice brightness to it but there is visible pitting freckled about 2 inches from the muzzle. The cylinder has "97" stamped on the face. There is a slight left-right play when the hammer is locked back. Timing is excellent.
