Description
02/25/26 - For sale is a Winchester M1 Carbine made around November of 1942. The carbine has an aged dulite finish, with it fading to a grey color. The side of the receiver has an area where it was sanded or buffed to try and remove some kind of e-penciled writing that we cannot read what it says. There is some cold blue on the front of the receiver. The barrel retains more of its finish, with the exposed area having a brown tint from patina. The stock is a replacement and is in good shape. There aren't any US Marks, but there is, what looks to be, a script LP on the bottom fo the pistol girp. The inside of the sling well is stamped with the last 4 of the serial number. Bore is bright with strong rifling, but some shallow prickling of pitting is visible at the muzzle. The barrel is marked 11-42 WRA with the large flaming bomb. The internal parts are a mix of unmarked and Winchester. The trigger guard is a Type A Variation with an O stamp. The trigger, Bolt, firing pin, extractor, magazine release, and magazine catch are the correct variation or stamped with a W. But the hammer, sear, and slide are unmarked. The back of the trigger guard and slide are both stamped with the last 4 of the serial number. We believe this rifle was used and issued by the Germans or Austrians after the war but do not have the usual signs.
Rifle comes with one 5 round magazine.
