Description
10/3/25- For sale is an embroidered Imperial German coat of arms. The coat of arms includes a German eagle with shield flanked by four flags, two of which are the Imperial German naval ensign, one of which is the national tricolor, and one of which is the German colonial flag. There is a crown above the eagle and a banner that reads "Gott Mit Uns" or "God With Us". The embroidery is framed. The embroidery looks to be in good condition with no rips or tears although there is some discoloration due to aging. The frame is also worn and aged, indicating it has accompanied the embroidery for many years, possibly since it was made pre-1914. The seller indicated a connection to the German colony in Tsingtao but that is not confirmed. Overall in very good condition.
