Description

02/25/26 - For sale is a Swiss Gewehr 1911 made in 1916 at Waffenfabrik Bern. The rifle is in great condition with a nice bluing on the metal. There are spots of finish loss on the receiver and the area around the muzzle shows some wear. The stock is in excellent condition with a few light surface dents. There is a small surface chip behind the receiver tang but is not deep. The bore is excellent with a bright finish and strong rifling. The rifle has matching numbers on the barrel, receiver, bolt, and magazine. The rear sight has "828" which does not correlate with the serial number. The rifle comes with a Model 1889 bayonet made by Neuhausen. The blade is in excellent condition. There is some light oxidation on the crossguard and pummel. Grips are in good shape. Scabbard has a nice bluing with freckling of oxidation. Also comes with an original muzzle cover.
