Description
8/26/25 - This is an excellent example of a factory-made Japanese NCO sword from WW2 with a very nice decorative wrap sack. The handle of the sword is in excellent condition with small parts decorated with sakura (cherry blossom) as well as having sakura decoration under the green cord wrapping as well. The brass colored finish is well worn over most areas due to age and use. The crossguard is just the slightest bit loose. The blade is in excellent condition with a nice mirror finish and not much wear. There is no evidence of post-factory sharpening or polishing and no blade edge chips. The blade is still very sharp. There are no marks on the tang of the blade. The scabbard has a similar wear pattern to that of the handle. There is a thin crack developing on one side of the scabbard that goes almost the entire length of the scabbard. The sword comes with a decorative sack in which the sword fits within. We are unsure of its origin but it appears to be of very high quality with stitching depicting dragons on the outside and a floral design on its white interior.
