Description
10/23/26 - This is a nice example of a leading edge Walther PPK holster, manufactured by AKAH during World War II. The external leather is in good condition. There is mild wrinkling, light cracking, areas of discoloration, handling marks, and scattered nicks. These issues are more concentrated on the top section of the front flap, and appear to a lesser extent around the bottom section of the holster body and near the top of the belt loop. The closure strap is fully functional, but also shows aging, wrinkling, and light cracking. Stitching is beautiful, all original and intact. The AKAH marking is crisp with a mild distress point beneath it at the snap closure, but this is typical for nearly every used example of these. The internal leather is in excellent condition, very clean aside from distress points where the edges of gun and magazine rested while holstered. The ink stamp, which is a correct Luftwaffe Walther PPK stamp, is very crisp. However, please note that these holsters were not ordinarily issued to the Luftwaffe. How this stamp came to be on this holster is, and will likely always remain, a mystery lost to time.
