M 42 Single Decal Army Helmet

7/17/25 - This is a very nice example of a German M42 helmet. The exterior of the helmet has most of its original paint remaining and the army decal that is clearly visible on the left side of the helmet with some chips. The metal on the exterior has a few minor freckles of oxidization near the dome and one large portion of paint loss on the front crown of the helmet. The interior of the helmet is is quite clean with a minor patch of rust on the front and rear brim. The steel band and leather liner is intact. The leather liner is soft and malleable with significant surface cracking around the band and evidence of light moderate use. The chinstrap is missing. The maker and size of the helmet is unknown,  lot #5221.
