M 42 Single Decal Luftwaffe Helmet

7/16/25 - This is a very nice example of a German M42 helmet. The exterior of the helmet has most of its original paint with a few small scratches or paint transfer in the front of the helmet near the crown and at the dome. The German Luftwaffe decal is clearly visible on the left side of the helmet with one small scratch on one of the wings. There is also some freckling of oxidization throughout and one spot of rust in the back near the brim. The metal on the interior of the helmet is very clean with one small spot of rust on the left brim. The steel band and leather liner are both intact. The leather is soft and malleable. Two of the leather tongues of the interior have some cracking wear marks, and there is some surface cracking around the band of the helmet. The chin strap is also intact and the leather is soft and looks to be almost unused. Made by NS, size 62, lot # 1699.
