Description
12/23/25 - This is a very nice example of a Danish Madsen M50 submachine gun. This innovative design features wo separate stamped steel receiver halves that are hinged at the rear of the receiver and are held together on the front end by the barrel nut. It is an open-bolt system that fires ~500 RPM. This design proved very reliable, firing over 20,000 rounds of ammunition in 2.5 hours with no failures at testing. It has a right side, folding wire type stock, a grip safety behind the magazine well, and side mounted sling swivels. It has a simple non-adjustable peep rear sight on the rear of the receiver and a blade front sight. This is a standard Interarms import with arsenal refinished receiver. Danish crest is visible on the left side receiver. There is very little actual finish loss, just some minor pitting under the finish on the left side of the receiver. The bore has decent rifling but there is noticeable frosting throughout. Mechanically sound. Listing includes a total of four magazines. This is a pre-May dealer sample, so only transferrable to other SOT holders.
