7/29/25 - The following is an excellent example of a K98 bayonet with a matching scabbard and frog. The bayonet consists of a blued steel blade and wooden handle. The blade of the bayonet is in great condition with only minimal amount of the bluing removed and the blade has not been sharpened. The blade is stamped with the manufacturers mark "F.HERDER A.Sn." and the reverse side is stamped ""89" with a "g". The handle of the bayonet is made of wood and is firm with no play. There is also multiple military acceptance proofs on the handle. The scabbard has a matching "89 g" and the frog has the name of the manufacturer on the back as well as "1940".
