Description
03/05/26 - For sale is a 30th Series Toyo Kogyo Type 99 Arisaka chambered in 7.7x58. The rifle is in good condition and retains the full Imperial Mum. The metal has a faded bluing with areas worn down to bare metal. There is also scattered patina on the surface. The stock is structurally sound with handling marks. No cracks or breaks to note. The chrome-lined bore is bright with strong rifling. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, safety, and bayonet lug. The dustcover is absent. The monopod appears to be an original WW2 example, but lacks the "Hiro" proofmark used by Toyo Kogyo. Comes with a Type 30 bayonet made by Toyoda under Nagoya Supervision. The blade has a dark blued finish with light wear. The edge is sharpened 8" from the tip. The rest of the blade is not sharpened. The grips are in good shape and worn smooth. The pommel and crossguard are well patina'd. The scabbard has a worn bluing with brown patina.
