Description
3/6/26- For sale is a Nepalese marked Lee Metford P1888 bayonet. The bayonet has British proofs so it was likely manufactured in a British factory before being issued to colonial troops in the region of Nepal. The blade has heavy patina and wear although seemingly minimal rust or actual material damage. The blade is marked "VR 88", indicating Queen Victoria's reign and a pattern 88 bayonet. The handle material has worn down and is smooth but there is minimal chipping or cracking. The scabbard is made of aged and worn leather but it is mostly structurally intact. Overall in fair condition.
