Description

03/30/26 - For sale is a Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor made in 1886 that was not updated with the 1884 rear sight. The rifle has a darkened finish from age with light freckling of patina and oxidation. The stock has been lightly sanded but is in good shape overall. The left side of the stock is stamped SWP 1885 but it is thin. No cracks or breaks to note. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The rifle comes with an original socket bayonet. Some oxidation and surface corrosion on some of the edges of the spike.
