Description
4/10/26- For sale is a Luftwaffe dagger with painted fittings. The dagger is an original WW2 Luftwaffe dress dagger but the scabbard and handle fittings have been painted black for some reason. The blade has some wear and patina but no rust or blade chipping. The blade has a maker mark from "Gustav Spitzer Solingen" along with a lion emblem. The handle fittings are the t5raditional plated nickel construction but have been painted black, with some of the original finish showing under the paint. The handle is intact with no cracking. The portepee knot is present with some moderate fraying. The scabbard has also been painted black except for the bands where the hanging rings are. There is no damage or dents. Overall in very good condition.
