Description
8/27/25 - This is an example of a German Dienstglas 6x30 set of binoculars made by CXN (Emil Busch A.-G.) toward the end of the war. These binoculars were constructed with bakelite due to material shortages in Germany at the time they were made. The bakelite is in good condition but has a small crack over one of the hinge pieces. The bridge hinge to open and close the binoculars functions and has a triangle stamp on it. The lenses are cloudy and are not easily focused. A piece of the left lense is not in the binocular optic but is in good shape and is included with this example. It is our estimation that it should be relatively straightforward to put back in, however there is a chance it could be more difficult than we think. Left side near the eyepiece is stamped "CXN" and the right is stamped "Dienstglas", "6x30". The necklace around the binoculars appears to be an original leather necklace.
