Description
12/2/25- For sale are a pair of M16 bayonets, including a rare Eickhorn Model 2000 bayonet. In 2001, the US Marine Corps attempted to purchase the Eickhorn Model 2000 bayonet but political backlash forced the cancelation of the deal. Eickhorn 2000 bayonets are very difficult to find because of the quality of Geerman production, the similar looks to the WWII KA-BAR, and the overall low production numbers. This Eickhorn, made in Germany, was made prior to the USMC contract. The political pressure meant that a German-made bayonet could not be supplied to US forces. Eickhorn changed the markings to say Made in USA but even this change did not save the contract. This knife is in mint, unissued condition from 2000/2001. Also included in the listing is a Vietnam-era M7 bayonet, also for M16 pattern rifles. Both bayonets will fit the M16, M4, and all AR15 rifles with bayonet lugs.
