Description

03/23/26 - For sale is a Model 1817 Common Rifle made by R Johnson of Middleton, Connecticut in 1822. The metal has freckling of old oxidation throughout but no deep pitting. The stock is in good shape but there is a crack on the left side between the base of the barrel and a lockplate screw on the left side. The bore has a hint of brightness left and the rifling is still prominent. The flintlock action functions properly.
