Description
1/14/26 - This is a beautiful example of an original Colt 1911A1 from 1940. One of only 4,696 produced in 1940, this one is correct throughout with about 95-96% of the original Colt blue remaining. The most notable finish loss is on the front edges of the frame, as well as around the muzzle. There's also a small spot of bluing loss on the trigger guard and on the right side of the frame (near the serial number). Slight "idiot scratch" on left side frame. Slide serial matches frame. Proper CSR inspector mark on frame, with P proof on slide and frame. Correct Colt barrel with large 'G' under lug. Fantastic bore, very minor signs of use. Listing includes a total of two dual-tone 1911 magazines, as well as a period leather shoulder holster. Original wood grips show some smoothing and a few worn diamonds but no cracks.
