12/2/25 - This is a very early and highly desirable Army Colt Model 1911 that was manufactured in 1912, nearly one of the first 7,500 ever produced. Many surviving examples are worn, and this example was clearly reblued at some point. The reblue is darker than the original bluing would be, and there are scattered buffed areas of light oxidation and pitting throughout that is blued over. Early Colt barrel with just an 'H' on the face of it, as does the frame internally. Bore is excellent with strong rifling. Rare, early 'keyhole' magazine. Fitted with a great set of grips, with mild handling wear.
