Description
02/09/26 - This is a scarce, excellent Wesson and Harrington No.4 revolver, manufactured in the 1870s and chambered in .38 caliber. Total production for these was estimated at only 500, making surviving examples in this level of condition exceedingly rare. This particular example is all matching, with the serial number stamped on the left side of the frame under the grip, left side of the barrel, rear of cylinder, and both grip panels. Action works perfectly, timing, lockup, etc. The revolver retains the vast majority of its nickel finish, with expected natural aging, scattered surface scuffing and handling marks, but excellent overall condition for its age. Excellent original set of matching rosewood grips show minor dings and handling marks but no major issues or repairs. Bore is excellent, shiny with sharp rifling, some light frosting throughout. Antique, so no licensing required.
