Description
10/3/25 - Here is the finest and possibly earliest known example of a 1914 manufactured DWM Artillery Luger. This serial number (66) is the earliest recorded we were able to find, and the condition cannot be upgraded. With only ~5,000 produced, this is the rarest variation of the WWI Artillery Lugers. The bluing on the pistol is all original with 98-99% remaining, showing just minor hints of holster wear on the muzzle and high edges. Nice straw remains on the small parts with minor thinning that is most pronounced on the safety. Nice, strong bore with only minor hints of use/frost. The original grips are present and matching numbered to the pistol. Period original but mismatched magazine. The listing is complete with holster, cleaning rod, takedown tool and stock. The tool is an original example with Imperial proof, and the stock is mismatched but also correctly marked with Imperial proof. The leather shoulder strap, cup, etc are all present. The holster has seen better days, with a torn closure strap and some cracking. An unmarked, spare commercial magazine is included.
