Description
10/2/25 - This is an original example of the rare and highly desirable Singer 1911A1 from 1941! Known as the Holy Grail for 1911 and U.S. Military pistol collectors, there were only 500 ever produced and it's estimated that 125-150 examples remain in some form. All parts are produced by Singer, including an original barrel and magazine. The bluing rates at 80-85%, with the most notable area of finish loss on the front strap. Additionally, there is visible patina/oxidation in several other areas but most notably on the slide. The magazine is an original Singer example but does appear to have been partially reblued at some point. The bore is nice but does show wear to the rifling and some frost throughout. Correct parts include the Keyes fibre grips with no rings, the Singer half-moon front sight and U-notch rear sight, recoil spring, guide and assembly, with all checkered parts have the correct Singer checkering.
