Description
6/16/25 - From Vanderlinden's "FN Browning Pistols" book: "Pistols assembled from prewar Dutch contract production but without Wilhelmina crest with, or without lanyard ring: A distinct break in numbers indicates that a large gap exists between those pistols that were near completion and the ones at earlier stages of production. These pistols start at contract number 70,000. Early numbers still feature a lanyard ring and Liege proofs, but these features disappeared as production continued. The pistols still have prewar features and high standards of fit and finish. Most have prewar horn grips; these grips were cut for a lanyard ring and were used ton pistols that have no lanyard ring installed. As the supply of horn grips was exhausted, the same pattern with lanyard cut was made in black synthetic material. These pistols are usually in their original Dutch contract caliber of 9mm, but exceptions in 7.65mm exist. These pistols have one or multiple WaA613 markings." This particular example is all matching, chambered in 9mm, and fitted with black synthetic grips. Its original finish rates somewhere between 85-90% with spotty discoloration along both sides of the slide. Excellent bore. Comes with one proper 9mm magazine.
