Description
11/14/25 - For sale is a Mass Arm Co Smith Carbine chambered in a .50 caliber brass cartridge. These carbines were mainly used by Cavalry units during the US Civil War. The rifle has an aged bluing on the metal but is turning a brownish color from patina. There are spots of oxidation throughout. The stock is in good shape but there is a small crack between the receiver and the saddling ring screw. There are a couple of small chips on the wrist on top. There is what appears to be a "J" and Backwards "S" scratches into the left side of the buttstock. The bore has a very faint brightness left, but most of the bore has shallow pitting. The rifling is still visible. The hinged action, along with the hammer and trigger functions properly.
