Description
11/25/25- For sale is a shortened Japanese Type 30 bayonet. The bayonet is the right length and has the right scabbard to be the bayonet for a Type 100 submachine gun, but the full length fuller indicates that this bayonet was not manufactured to this length originally, indicating a shortening at some point. This bayonet was either an authentic replacement bayonet for a Type 100, a post-war fake bayonet for a Type 100, or a fighting knife made from a broken bayonet blade and salvaged scabbard. The blade has most of the original finish, although with some evidence of sharpening. The Kokura arsenal stamp is very clear. The handle has some noticeable scratches and scrapes in the wood. The scabbard has most of its original paint although there are are some scrapes and areas of patina. Overall in very good condition.
