For sale is a vintage SOG Pentagon Elite II (Model PE-18) in pristine near-mint condition. This highly sought-after tactical folder was produced in Seki City, Japan in the early 2000s (circa 2004–2005) before Japanese production ended around 2006, and it is no longer in production. It was crafted by renowned master sword and knife maker Ichiro Hattori, who manufactured OEM knives for SOG in Seki, Japan from 1986 to 2006—an important detail for collectors who value authentic Seki craftsmanship.
The Pentagon Elite II earned strong popularity among military personnel, law enforcement, and civilian users for its exceptional balance, durability, and tactical performance. This powerful 5" model features a VG-10 steel blade (HRC 57–58) with a satin finish and partial serrations, including the distinctive shark tooth tip designed to penetrate tough materials and cut through rope and dense items with ease. The knife measures 10.75" overall, weighs 6.8 oz, and is built with black glass-reinforced Zytel handles. It includes ambidextrous thumb studs, machine screw construction, a low-reflective bead-blasted blade and clip, SOG’s Arc-Lock system, and a reversible military-style pocket clip for secure carry.
This example remains unused, appearing exactly as it left the factory—ideal for both collectors and users seeking a premium, discontinued Seki-made SOG. Overall in excellent condition.
