Description
10/30/25 - For sale is a Parkers Snow Model 1863 chambered in .50-70 Gov't. The rifle has a patina'd and aged finish on the metal. There is oxidation freckles on the exposed metal but no pitting visible. The rifle was originally a muzzle loading rifle but received the Allin trapdoor conversion for metallic cartridges. The lockplate is original and date stamped 1863. The stock has plenty of handling marks. There is a hairline crack between the upper receiver screw and the chamber on the left side. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but there is a ring of shallow pitting about 2-3 inches from the muzzle. The trapdoor functions properly. The cleaning rod is absent.
