SOLD - 1918 Colt 1911 Slide - WWI

8/24/25 - This is an original WWI-era Colt 1911 slide, manufactured around 1918 for U.S. military issue. The right side is marked “MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY,” with the correct patent dates and Colt’s Hartford address on the opposite side. The rampant Colt logo is located in the middle, consistent with late-1918 production. This slide retains about 55% of its original blue finish, showing even patina and light oxidation throughout, with no deep pitting or damage. All stampings remain sharp and fully legible. The slide is fully functional with its internals intact, and includes the original front and rear sights. There is an “H” marking on the top rear of the slide beneath the firing pin stop plate. A solid candidate for a correct restoration project or vintage parts build.
