SOLD - 1941 Mauser Luger - "41/42 Code"

Description

8/15/25 - This is a nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1941. The toggle has a "42" manufacturer code, giving this gun the appearance of being a scarce "41/42" Code variant. However, this could not be the case because it is in the wrong serial range for this variation. The odd thing is that the rear toggle link does not appear to have been re-numbered. So our best guess is that someone found an original "42" code toggle link with the correct number and paired it with the rest of the gun. In any case, it mostly matching, but the hold open is mismatched. The gun's original finish rates roughly 85% with honest wear throughout. Fitted with minty "Eagle 655" proofed wood grips. Comes with a mismatched "Eagle 63" magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout.
