SOLD - 1942 Dated Oil Cloth K98 Action Cover

Description

2/13/26- For sale is an oil cloth K98 bolt and action cover. The cover has six straps and pegs so it can be securely fastened around the mechanical parts of a K98 in wet, muddy, or dirty conditions. The exterior is a dark treated canvas and has some wear, including a spot or two where the treated exterior has come off and a few spots of dirt or discoloration. There is one tear all the way through the material, about an inch long. The interior is a lighter color of the same treated fabric with several stitched patches to provide extra reinforcement for spots where the gun is likely to rub. The bottom patch for covering the front sight is stamped "dyo 42" along with WaA23, indicating manufacture by Hans Romer. This patch has come unstitched for about an inch on the top edge and three inches on the right side but it is still solidly attached to the cover. All straps and pegs are intact and functional. A scanned book page explaining the function of the cover is also included. Overall in good condition.
