12/19/25 - This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Model 53, manufactured in 1962. Chambered in .22 Remington Jet with a 6" barrel. It has retained about 97-98% of its original high polish finish. Faint roll mark on the cylinder. Excellent case-hardening on the hammer and trigger. Fitted with excellent hand-checkered Walnut grips. The bottom of the grips were personalized sometime in the past. Minty bore. This assembly includes the cylinder inserts to easily fire .22 LR rounds and the box. The box shows some tears and shelf wear.
