Description
8/13/25 - The Beretta Model 1951 is a slim, all-steel, single-action service pistol chambered in 9x19mm, produced from the early 1950s until it was superseded by the Beretta 92 in the late 1970s/early 1980s. It features Beretta’s open-top slide, a locked-breech system with a short-recoil locking block (the forerunner to the 92’s design), an 8-round single-stack magazine, and a left-side frame safety. Adopted by Italian police and military units and widely exported, the M1951 also spawned licensed and unlicensed variants (e.g., Egypt’s Helwan and Iraq’s Tariq). For collectors, it offers classic Beretta lines, Cold War service pedigree, and mechanically interesting lineage to the 92 series—often encountered today as clean European police surplus with holster wear but strong bores and smooth triggers. This one comes with its original matching-numbered box and two magazines. It has retained nearly all of its finish with just hints of high edge and muzzle wear. Some tiny scratches on the grips. Mint bore.
