7/10/25 - This is a gorgeous example of an early Colt Single Action Army Cavalry Model from 1878. Chambered in .45 Colt with a 7.5 inch barrel. It is all matching with "HN" military proofs throughout, cartouches on the grips, and a "US" marking on the frame. This particular gun comes with a Colt Factory letter that is addressed to Dave Lanara. The Colt letter confirms this gun was shipped to the US Government military inspector. It has been completely professionally restored and refinished by Master Colt gun restorer, Dave Lanara. The gun is in beautiful condition, but there is a small amount of wear and freckling on the left side of the barrel. Mint wood grips. Bright bluing on the barrel, cylinder, and straps with excellent case-hardening on the frame. Excellent bore with strong rifling. Fully functional with a smooth action.
