3/2/26 - This is an A. Uberti made Colt Model 1851 Navy style .36 caliber percussion, black-powder-only revolver set up in a “revolver carbine” configuration with its matching detachable walnut shoulder stock, housed in a glass-top, velvet-lined presentation case with plaque and period-style accessories (powder flask, dual-cavity bullet mold, combination tool/nipple wrench, and key). This example features gorgeous engraving work in a Gustave Young-style scroll pattern seen on these Samuel Colt presentation-themed commemoratives, and includes the Jefferson Davis name panel and presentation-style inscriptions. Overall condition is excellent, with crisp engraving and bright metal, strong blue and case colors. Only light handling marks on the stock. a few signs of superficial scuffing on the high edges of the stock metal, but overall very clean glossy furniture on both grip and stock. Presentation case is also in excellent condition, showing minor interior wear. The bore is pristine. Antique designation means this one doesn't require any licensing to purchase.
