Description
7/28/25 - This is a nice example of a Walther PP sold in the commercial market in 1940. This particular gun was captured by PFc Homer L. Vornbrock during WW2. The gun comes with the original capture document that lists Vornbrock and this gun serial number. We also have a photo of Homer with his buddies (he's on the top row all the way to the right) and a photocopy of Homer's Honorable Discharge. He was in the 459th Coastal Artillery Battalion Antiaircraft. According to this document, he was involved in the battles of Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle N" proofs. It comes as a rig with an excellent, generic, period-correct, black leather holster, one period-correct flat-bottom magazine, and one finger extension magazine. The gun has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the back strap. Fitted with period-correct black grips. Excellent bore with great rifling. The mag release button is a little temperamental but does work.
