Description
7/29/25 - These are a near mint example of Dienstglas 6x30 Binoculars that was produced by CXN which was the German government code for manufacturer Emil Busch A.-G., Optische Industrie, Rathenow. These binoculars were produced in the late-war period out of a red plastic-like material called bakelite in an effort by the German government to preserve raw materials like metals for other essential war related items. The binoculars are extremely clean with no cracks or chips in the bakelite. The hinge that allows the binoculars to be manipulated moves freely and easily. The lenses are very clear and are able to be adjusted for the individual user. These binoculars also come with a leather neck strap which has a nice natural patina. The leftside is stamped "CXN", and the right side is stamped "Dienstglas 6x30".
