Description
9/18/25 - This is an Cz Vz 38 pistol manufactured in 1939. It has about 95% of the high-polish blue remaining, with minor high edge wear on both sides of the slide and some areas of mild thinning/finish loss along the top of slide. The grips have some light scuffing and some handling marks here and there, but no cracks or repairs. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there is some light oxidation in the grooves. Comes with one proper, unmarked magazine. The pistol was never used by the Czechoslovak military, as the vz. 38 orders were not yet delivered when Germany occupied Czechoslovakia in 1938. Most of these pistols saw service in greater German police and security forces, and despite several issues, the vz. 38 was still in production until 1945. This gun is could theoretically have been one of the 44,000 procured in 1939 by the German Army/Luftwaffe, as it falls in the accepted serial range of 250000-290000. This example is stamped with two waffenamts, one on the left side of the frame above the trigger guard, and the other on the top of the barrel. We do not believe these are legitimate markings.
