Description
10/3/25 - This is an excellent example of a Colt 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is "United States Property" marked, has the correct "GHD" inspector initials, and has the proper cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the tang. Matching-numbered slide. It also has a correct Colt barrel with a small "F" under the lug. The gun has retained about 96% of its original finish, with most of the wear concentrated near the muzzle along both sides of the slide. There are also a few scattered handling marks and a light takedown scratch. Excellent period-correct reddish bakelite grips. Comes with a proper "L" marked magazine. Bore is shiny with sharp rifling, but there is some frost in the grooves.
