Description
12/11/25 - This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Victory Model issued to the US Army during World War II. It is U.S. Property marked, G.H.D (Guy H. Drewry) inspector stamped, and flaming bomb proofed. All matching numbers, the original finish on this one rates about 96%, with minor wear on the underside of the trigger guard and around the muzzle, and some scattered surface scuffs, and scratches. A small ding is present at the top left where the U.S. Property marking is stamped, with some mild scratching around the same area. Some very mild thinning on the high edges of the cylinder and frame, and a faint turn line on cylinder. Minty bore. Made from 1942 to 1944, with a production run of ~500,000. They were standard issued side arms for US Navy and Marine air crews due to their size and ease of operation. It is .38 S&W special. Super smooth action. Comes with excellent, original 1943-dated Boyt holster, with just some age related wrinkling and honest wear.
