SOLD - Excellent G43/K43 ZF 4 Complete Scope - L Stamped

9/5/25 - This is an original ZF 4 scope and mount that was issued during WWII. The scope is stamped with a large "L" for that is believed to be originally made for the Luftwaffe, "GW ZF4,"serial number 57310, "ddx," and a triangle which is painted blue. The scope is in great overall condition, with hardly any wear on the exterior surface. The optics are pristine, and the markings are crisp. From records, we know that a large percentage of ddx scopes between serial numbers 38,000-62,000 were issued to the Luftwaffe to be used with FG42s, and specifically calibrated for optimal performance. The leather lens cover may be a reproduction. The correct scope mount is also in excellent shape and numbered "4368" and is Waffen proofed with Waffen 359.  NOTE:  The locking lever and clamping screw on this example are stripped, which is why this set is priced lower than other correct examples.  The lever is loose and doesn't tighten.  Our gunsmith believes repairs to the lever and screw would need a donor mount, and still may not reparable with one.  Buyer should have no expectation that this can be repaired when purchasing.
